The Vizier interface has 2 main components: an intuitive tablet app and a 'companion'. The user can speak to the companion to command the system in addition to using a tablet.
This innovative combination of tablet interfaces and speech technology is developed in co-creation with actual end users.
Older adults can find their way to popular online services (like Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, digital agenda) and Internet of Things (IoT) appliances (like FitBit, robot vacuum cleaners, smart plugs), through one familiar and user friendly system. In the back, this is an open architecture, which allows personalization, while on the front side, the system interacts in the simple, concise Vizier style.
The mail goal is to encourage and support users to stay physically, mentally and socially active and sustain a healthy / healthier lifestyle.
The Vizier consortium consists of nine experienced and committed partners, namely five industrial partners (a large sized enterprise and four SMEs), two research institutes and two end user organizations spread around three different European AAL partner States (Switzerland, Ireland and Belgium). End users and SMEs are both strongly involved with clear exploitation ambitions.
If everything I need from the internet, comes through a user friendly VIZIER interface, that would really make things easier!
I would really appreciate a simple and easy to use interface, with a limited amount of alternative buttons or instructions. Just straightforward and short.
I don't need a bed sensor right now, so I believe it's important that everyone can compose their own VIZIER set-up and that you can personalize the app.
